READ TO FEEL
This is more than a list of book recommendations.
It is an invitation to explore literature through emotion, not genre.
Here, we "peel" a book to uncover its core.
A book might be the deepest way to explore a feeling, but that feeling rarely belongs to a single medium.
It echoes through music, film, flavours, and rituals.
Each Peel brings these elements together, opening the same emotional doorway.
Enter wherever feels right.
Follow a feeling. Meet the author, explore their quotes, and see what echoes. Pick what calls to you and start peeling.
Behind the project
Peeling the Books
→ Genre At Peel Me a Book, genres are treated as fluid rather than fixed categories. A horror novel may feel like grief. A memoir may read like myth. Classification here is an invitation, not a rule. → Music (The Beats) Some Peel Beats link to Spotify. This is not an endorsement of the company or its policies — it is simply the most accessible platform for many listeners. The goal is immediacy: tap, listen, feel. You are always free to find the music elsewhere. Accessibility is practical. Ethics live in how we choose to listen. → Quotes (Flavour) Every effort is made to ensure that the Flavour sections are drawn directly from the original texts. These extracts are intended to offer a faithful sense of the author’s voice. Copyright restrictions, translation availability, and access limitations sometimes make sourcing complex. If an extract appears inaccurate or improperly attributed, this is unintended. Corrections are welcome.

The written content of this website is AI generated. The concept, the curation, and the many hours dedicated to share with you a passion are all mine. I hope you enjoy it → On the Reels and the Beats I often draw from sources such as Wikipedia, IMDb, and Spotify because they are ubiquitous and familiar. This does not imply endorsement, nor support for the monopolisation of information. Knowledge should be as diverse as the books themselves. → Where to Find the Books (Peels) At the bottom of each peel, I link to platforms that support this project. These links help fund future peels, but only if you choose to use them. You are always free to explore whichever option suits you — buying, borrowing, or simply browsing.
About the project
Peel Me a Book began with a simple frustration: I couldn’t find books that felt right. After moving countries, even the stories I once loved lost their flavour. I would pick up book after book, read a few pages, and put them down again. The blurbs didn’t help. Genres didn’t help. What I needed was a different way in. So I built one. This site is a personal project, guided by intuition, the artistic talent of Monnaxart, and the assistance of AI. If you notice something out of place, inaccurate, or if a link does not display correctly, please feel free to email me. I will do my best to correct any mistakes as soon as possible. For anyone who has ever felt lost in the stacks or left cold by the usual lists: this is for you. 🍷 Salud
